The Serekaniye Displaced Persons Committee delivered a protest note to representatives of the Global coalition in northern and eastern Syria, in which they demanded the need to expel the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries from the occupied areas, amid pledges by the coalition representatives to transfer the memorandum to the concerned authorities.
In continuation of the activities of the Serekaniye Displaced Persons Committee within the campaign “Safe Return without Occupation”, members of the Committee visited today the headquarters of the Global Coalition in the city of Al-Hasakah, northeastern Syria, and handed them a protest note from the forcibly displaced from the occupied city of Sere-Kaniye.
The Serekaniye Displacement Committee was formed on the 9th of July of this year, from the displaced of the Serêkaniyê area, with the aim of shedding light on the crimes committed by the Turkish occupier with its mercenaries from the so-called “Syrian National Army” in the occupied areas.
The committee’s delegation included “Committee Chairman Masoud Hasso, Committee spokesman Mahmoud Jamil, in addition to committee members Zahra Samoun, Bassam Kajo, and Mohamed Melli.”
During the visit, the committee handed a protest note to the Global Coalition, in an effort to pressure the Turkish occupier and its mercenaries to withdraw from the city of Serêkaniyê, and to prepare a safe return with an international guarantee for the people to the city, and to expose their crimes and what is happening in the cities of Serêkaniyê and Tel Abyad.
The committee met with representatives of the US State Department, in a meeting away from the media, followed by a press conference, in which the committee revealed the content of the meeting.
In this context, the head of the Serekaniye Displaced Persons Committee, Masoud Hasso, stressed that they highlighted the need to expel the Turkish occupation and achieve the safe return of the displaced to their homes, and the suffering of the forcibly displaced in the camps.
Masoud Hasso indicated that representatives of the US State Department pledged to convey the image of the suffering and claims of the Serekaniye displaced to the concerned authorities.
At the end of the conference, Massoud Hasso urged the international community to do its duty to provide more support to the people of Serekaniye.
The head of the Serekaniye Displaced Persons Committee did not reveal to the media the personalities he met with during his meeting with representatives of the international coalition.
